I have been living in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), since late 2025. Before coming here, I had no expectations, but I have certainly enjoyed my time so far. Firstly, the locals are amazing, superfriendly and have gone out of their way with genuine interest and making me feel welcome on every occasion (a taxi driver even stopped to buy me fresh strawberries). Very sweet people indeed. Then there is the the food, from the the grilled fished and fresh vegetables surrounded by an aroma of spices and grilled meats in Al Balad, to the super quick and on demand food delivery, Jeddah has something for everyone. So as a first timer to Jeddah (and also KSA), I have been super impressed by the dynamism meets tradition of a city and region that is firmly on an upward trajectory. If you have not booked your ticket to the ticket to kingdom yet, what no further. An amazing journey and experience awaits.
